Step 4: Partition the set of possible values of the test statistic (T) into two regions, viz. rejection region and acceptance region. If the observed value of T happens to be in the rejection region, reject the null hypothesis or accept the alternate hypothesis.
Step 5: Observe the sample data, compute the value of T, and apply the decision rule discussed in the step 4.
